Pittston Township is a welcoming community of close to 3,500 people that sits just a short drive from Interstates 81 and 476. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is located almost entirely within Pittston Township.  The airport offers daily direct flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington D.C.

Major business hubs in the Township include CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park East, CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park West, Grimes Industrial Park, O’Hara Industrial Park and Quackenbush Industrial Estates.   Some of the major employers in these parks include A.Duie Pyle, Amazon.com, FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, Geisinger, Greiner Packaging USA, Home Depot, Linde, Pella, Prime, Inc., SkyZone, Stephenson Equipment Company, Cascades Tissue Group, Level 3, DISH Network, Bimbo Bakeries, NFI, UPS, and TJMaxx.

The township’s strategic location in Luzerne County, near the Lackawanna County border, means residents have easy access to numerous major amenities.  PNC Field, home to the AAA Affiliate of the New York Yankees, and the Mohegan Sun Arena, home to the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, can both be reached in about 15 minutes.  World class entertainers perform every month at the Arena and at nearby Montage Mountain.  Outdoor recreation is plentiful inside and near Pittston Township.
