WVSA Pollutant Reduction Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND PUBLIC MEETING FOR CHESAPEAKE BAY POLLUTANT REDUCTION PLAN: Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) hereby gives notice of the 30-day public comment period for its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES) Stormwater Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP).

Best management practices (BMPs) are proposed in the regional Plan to satisfy PRP requirements for the Chesapeake Bay and local stream impairments.

The public is invited to review this document and provide written comments to the Executive Director:

The 30-day public comment period begins August 1, 2017 and ends August 31, 2017. The Plan will be discussed at a public meeting on August 10, 2017 starting at 4PM at the offices of WVSA.

The municipalities participating in the regional Plan include the Cities of Nanticoke, Pittston, and Wilkes-Barre; the Boroughs of Ashley, Courtdale, Dureyea, Edwardsville, Exeter, Forty Fort, Hughestown, Kingston, Laflin, Larksville, Luzerne, Plymouth, Pringle, Sugar Notch, Swoyersville, Warrior Run, West Pittston, West Wyoming, Wyoming, and Yatesville; and the Townships of Hanover, Jackson, Jenkins, Lehman, Newport, Pittston, Plains, Plymouth, and Wilkes-Barre.
